For portaits:

Price: 90 euro. I ask for many photographies of the person, a photo can be nice to see but no good to be painted. We can concordate togheter wich one is the best.
The size will be small, 30x40 or 20x30cm, at my choise.
The tecnique can be oil on canvas or water colour. This is the only one that let the most delicate nuances. It also is the most difficoult tecnique, it's no possible to correct anything.
The paper and the colours are of the best (and expensive) quality, no perishable after time.
I don't like strong colours, my works are quite drawings, colours are extinguished, at a first look they can look in greyscale.
My first aim is to make alive my painting, then to make it similar, then i try to catch something of the soul. Too much!! Then i try to catch something of personality of the subject.
I don't use backgrounds, i like the face that looks as if it is going up from the surface of the paper.
The expedition will be done after the payment. At my judgement if the result is similar or not. If not I'll honestly give up or try to make a second one. No payment in advance but neither a preview of the work (sorry).
In Google research you can look for other cheaper opportunities, I just give you now any advices for a good choose. Look carefully at the examples on the website. If they are too few it's possible that he's showing just the best works of his career, not the normal standard of his production. Don't care if he's famous or not, the art companies don't recognize true art and, in second, a portrait cannot be re-selled in the market. A portrait has to be similar (of course) but common defects are: to exaggerate details; the nose too strong; the mouth as if a cheap strong lipstick has passed on it; mistakes on the shape of the head and, much important, on the shapes of the cheeks. A painter usually gives all his attention to eyes and mouth, that are only parts of that mystery that is the face of a person. I don't think to be a master but, believe me, I'm one who can spend one hour only to make the shadow under an eye, because I everytime finish to fall in love for that shadow or for a gentle line of a cheek :)
Tha hair will be made in a fast way and the dress in a much faster one, I have no patience for that :)
Sometime it can be look not finished, but that is a choose not a lazyness, give a fast look at masters like Chagall, Modigliani, Shiele, Monet, Renoir, Rembrandt etc

Prezzo di un ritratto: 90 euro.  
 
Il consiglio è di inviare quante più foto possibili della persona, spesso una bella fotografia non va bene per un ritratto. La misura sarà piccola, 30x40 in genere.
Non mi piacciono i colori forti, spesso i miei dipinti sono poco più che disegni, il colore emerge appena sulle tonalità di grigi o di bruni. Tento, più di ogni altra cosa, di dare vita a un ritratto, e quando ciò accade la somiglianza risulta quasi in maniera automatica, riuscendo anche a cogliere un po' della personalità della persona.
Non uso sfondi, lascio che il disegno sembri emergere dalla carta bianca.
Dopo che (e se) il ritratto sarà terminato chiederò il pagamento, senza inviare un'anteprima, mi spiace! Quindi il ritratto verrà spedito tramite assicurata. Su Google è possibile trovare altri ritrattisti a prezzi convenienti. Scrivo qualche consiglio per una buona scelta. Conviene prestare attenzione al numero di opere presentate, se fossero troppo poche potrebbe darsi che si tratti delle migliori riuscite, lontane però dalla sua ordinaria produzione. Difetti comuni sono: lineamenti troppo marcati, tratti duri, colori non naturali. Non badate al nome dell'artista, se sia più o meno noto nell'ambiente. Per come funziona il mercato dell'arte io darei più fiducia a uno sconosciuto che ad un artista affermato. Un artista che voglia collaborare con gallerie d'arte deve garantire produttività (n pezzi/mese) e la cosiddetta riconoscibilità, cioè i pezzi devono essere tutti simili...
I capelli e gli abiti saranno solo accennati, per dare massimo risalto a quell'infinito mistero che è il volto umano.
Il ritratto potrebbe apparire non finito, ma si tratta di scelta voluta, come accade nei più grandi maestri della pittura, Chagall, Modigliani, Shiele, Monet, Rembrandt etc
Esistono molti ritrattisti iperrealistici. Rivolgersi a qualcuno di loro se non si desidera uno stile particolare, se non piace lo stile mio.
